Transfer Your Credits

At North Palm College, we understand the importance of your prior college experience in shaping your educational journey. That’s why we value your transcripts and use them to make informed admission decisions and evaluate transfer credits. Our goal is to award you as much transfer credit as possible, reducing both your time to graduation and the cost of your degree.

If you’re new to college, don’t worry! We’ve made the process simple and convenient for you. Here’s how it works:

  • ✔ During the application process, provide all the necessary information about your previous educational institutions.
  • ✔ Request transcripts and have them sent to us. Simple!
Understanding Transfer Credit and Proficiency

Here’s what you need to know:

  1. Transfer Credit Evaluation: If you have completed courses at another accredited institution, you can request a credit evaluation before your first semester at our program. Simply provide an official transcript from the institution where the credit was earned. For foreign transcripts, they must be evaluated by a NACES-approved agency. We may require additional materials for evaluation, and all transfer credit must meet residency and curriculum requirements. Check our list of articulation agreements with other institutions for more information.
  2. Transfer Credit Guidelines: We review courses for transferability based on their alignment with our program’s curriculum. Qualifying transfer credits are accepted at the beginning of your program or with prior permission from the campus president or online dean. Please note that we do not accept transfer credit for life experience, and pass/fail courses will not be transferred.
  3. Advanced Standing by Proficiency Testing: If you have taken approved tests such as the International Baccalaureate Program (IB), Advanced Placement (AP), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), or DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST), you can request proficiency credit. Official transcripts must be submitted prior to initial registration, and the scores must meet our minimum requirements. We also recognize educational history, including military experience, for proficiency credit with appropriate credit recommendations from the American Council on Education (ACE).
We are committed to evaluating your prior credits and proficiency to help you make the most of your educational journey at our program.
